BioHarvest SA Announces Agreement for Farm Management with Héctor Ramalho through Calicanto Agricola SL
Madrid, June 28, 2024 - BioHarvest SA is pleased to announce a new strategic agreement to enhance farm management operations. Héctor Ramalho has been appointed to oversee and manage all farm operations through Calicanto Agricola SL, leveraging his extensive experience in agricultural and industrial project management.
Héctor Denis Ramalho Pita is a seasoned agricultural manager with a rich background in the food and agribusiness industries, bringing over three decades of experience to BioHarvest SA. Héctor has held significant roles such as General Manager at Comercializadora Tundra S.L. in Spain, where he successfully directed the company’s operations and strategic planning. In Portugal, he has served as General Manager for Exploración Agrícola Coval do Casco, focusing on cattle raising, pasture and cereal cultivation, and super-intensive olive farming.
Héctor's career began in Venezuela with Procesadora de Alimentos Prodalic C.A., where he advanced from Salesperson to Purchasing Manager and Deputy General Manager, demonstrating his capability in managing comprehensive food processing operations. He later served as Import Manager at Distribuidora Eureve C.A., further honing his skills in supply chain and international trade.
Héctor holds a Technical Superior degree in Business Administration from Instituto Universitario Nuevas Profesiones, and his academic credentials are complemented by a series of prestigious certifications, including HACCP certifications from the Food Processors Institute in the USA and the University Extension of the University of California, Davis.
His practical experience is enriched by internships at prominent agro-industrial companies in California, USA, such as Fresno City College Export Center, Tri Valley Growers, and Wawona Frozen Foods, where he gained invaluable insights into international trading, operations, quality control, and production management.
Héctor’s expertise in project management, team leadership, and conflict resolution has been pivotal in driving operational efficiency and sustainable growth in various complex environments. His leadership at BioHarvest SA is characterized by his commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable agricultural practices.
